October 15, 2001-Peachtree City, Georgia - As a leading provider of technology tools for transportation, SMC³ announced today that it will demonstrate its newest transportation solution, www.smc3.com at the National Industrial Transportation League's (NITL) TransComp 2001, November 11-13 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Building on its successful suite of LTL pricing products, SMC³ will showcase www.smc3.com to introduce the transportation industry to the company's new Application Service Provider (ASP) functionality. As an ASP, SMC³ offers clients the ability to license, access and run the SMC³ transportation pricing, data and technology products online.
Currently, four SMC³ products are available in an ASP format- CzarLite™, CanadaLite™, CzarLite™ International and webRater™. CzarLite base rates, the focal point for successful shipper, carrier and third party transportation agreements, combine an intelligent and fair LTL pricing system with a full line of related products. CzarLite is available for use within the U.S. through the standard CzarLite product and within the U.S. and Canada by way of CzarLite International. webRater is an interactive rating system that gives carriers the ability to provide online quotes to shippers' and carriers' sales and terminal staff, as well as corporate traffic departments.
