Wednesday, June 25
Cultural Tour & Lunch 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m
Wednesday’s tour will begin by leaving the hotel at 9:30 a.m. for one of Boston’s most popular attractions, the Museum of Fine Arts. Professional guides will direct participants through the museum and highlight the most important exhibits. Time will be provided at the end of the tour to browse the amazing gift shop.
The tour will leave the museum and proceed to Newbury Street – the “Rodeo Drive” of Boston. First stop—Stephanie’s on Newbury for a delicious lunch in our own private dining room. Following lunch the group will have time to explore the unique shops, boutiques, art galleries and architecture of Newbury Street before returning to the hotel around 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 26
Historical Tour & Boston Tea Party 9:15 a.m.–1:45 p.m.
Thursday’s tour, called “Boston Revealed,” will begin with a bus tour of the key historical areas and sites of Boston, including Copley Square, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Kings Chapel, Old State House, The Old North Church and Paul Revere’s House. A local historian will be on board to guide the tour through the history and interesting details of each locale.
There will be a few stops along the way for photo opportunities and a little exploring on foot. We’ll end up at Faneuil Hall with some time to explore and shop the Haymarket Square area before returning to the hotel at 12:30.
Back at the hotel in the Flagship Room with a wonderful view of Boston, the group will be treated to a “Boston Tea Party,” with delicious sandwiches, tarts, scones and of course a variety of teas.
Friday, June 27
Rise & Shine with SMC³ 9-11 a.m.
On Friday morning, guests are invited to Lighthouse II—a room with a great view of the city – for some time to visit with each other over granola, yogurt & berry parfaits, pastries and fresh fruit. There will be a featured presentation on a fascinating period in our history, the 1692 Salem witch trials, by the Director of Education of the Salem Witch Museum.
