Networking and Social Events

“Having the data and technology to do your job is one thing, but I believe it is a crucial mistake to leave business networking…out of one's personal mix. When I am in a room with my peers, some I have known for years and some I am getting to know for the first time, I realize how amazing it is to work in an industry where all the players – shippers, carriers, 3PLs, consultants, etc. – can come together and share their unique knowledge and perspective.”

–Jack E. Middleton, SMC³ President and CEO

Exceptional Networking and Social Events for the Supply Chain Industry

A hallmark of SMC³ conferences is the special care we take to organize exceptional activities that foster peer-to-peer supply chain networking for conference attendees as well as their spouses and guests. Throughout your time with SMC³ you will find networking and social events geared toward your personal and professional interests:

Monday Networking Reception (January 18, 5:30 – 7 p.m.)
SMC³ launches each of its conferences with a networking reception the evening before the conference officially begins. Be sure that your travel arrangements allow for your attendance at this special event, which will enhance your conference experience.

Tuesday Reception, Dinner and Entertainment (January 19, 6 – 10 p.m.)
The Tuesday evening reception and formal dinner is another staple of the SMC³ Conference experience. Join us in an elegant yet relaxed setting to enjoy a delicious dinner and an evening of entertainment with Jean Francois, known for his unconventional and energetic art show. This can’t-miss evening gives you the opportunity to choose who you dine with, including many of the conference’s educational speakers.

Networking Sponsor Lounge (January 19-20, open during breaks)
Relax with colleagues and connect with key decision-makers in a lounge setting just outside the conference room. Conference sponsors will be available to discuss products and answer questions. Free wi-fi available throughout the lounge area.

Daily Breakfasts (January 19-20, 7 – 8 a.m)
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! SMC³ hosts daily breakfasts that are sure to get you started with great food and conversation in an informal roundtable setting.

Spouse/Guest Activities

SMC3 Winter Conference

Tuesday, January 19 Tour (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Get your creative juices flowing and be ready to show off your talents during our very own SMC³ “Paint Fest.” We’ll paint color-coded canvases that, when put together, will create large colorful paintings to be donated to a charitable facility. The Foundation for Hospital Art will provide the supplies and we’ll provide the love and time to create artwork for those who will greatly benefit from this fun and rewarding activity.

After the paint fest, we’ll head to nearby Peachtree City and Collector’s Corner, a 22,000 square foot unique shopping experience. After enjoying lunch in the Jasmine Tea Room you’ll be free to spend time browsing through this multi-storied building full of everything from art to collectibles to antiques and everything in-between.

Wednesday, January 20 Rise & Shine (9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)
As the conference begins to wind down, be sure to join us for Wednesday morning’s “Rise and Shine” event where you can visit with long-time friends, as well as continue getting to know new friends over a leisurely and delicious buffet breakfast.

Spouses and guests are invited to join conference attendees for a variety of additional events, including the Keynote Presentation, Monday Networking Reception, and the Tuesday Reception, Dinner and Entertainment.
